Monica Oakley founded PPI in 1989 after 18 years as an educator, director of training, author and national speaker. Monica received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan and received post-graduate certification as a nurse practitioner in Women’s Reproductive Health.

Monica was one of the first nurse practitioners in Michigan prior to her move to Atlanta. At Emory University/Grady Memorial Hospital Monica was a Director of Education and Training in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Division of Family Planning and on the clinical faculty of the School of Medicine. During this time she developed her presentation skills as a speaker and consultant throughout the United States.

Prior to founding PPI, Monica held a management position with BlueCare Network, a Michigan based HMO and then entered the private sector as a senior training consultant with a marketing and advertising firm. Monica works closely with executives, human resource professionals, and internal training teams to ensure return on their training investment. She has conducted training in 46 States, Canada, South America and Europe and is a frequent guest speaker for regional and national conferences.

Lisa Leonard has been a member of the PPI training team since its inception in 1989. Prior to joining PPI, Lisa was a training consultant for an advertising and marketing firm. Lisa has a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Western Michigan University. She taught middle school math and science and was a team leader who helped develop school policies.

Lisa is the lead trainer for PPI’s Customer Satisfaction and Telephone Training programs as well as the senior co-trainer for Presentation Skills and Personality Based Selling (DiSC) Programs.
